Governor Scott asked the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) to reconvene the Assisted Living Workgroup to continue a comprehensive review of the regulation and oversight of assisted living in Florida. Members of the public were allowed to submit comments or a request to provide testimony by filling out a Public Testimony Form and returning it to the Agency for Health Care Administration. As a result of the workgroup, a Final Report and Recommendations, an overview of workgroup activities, and a report on issues to be addressed in phase 2 of the workgroup were developed and can be found on AHCA’s website. Information regarding previous meetings can also be found on AHCA’s website.
The Assisted Living Workgroup met for Phase I in 2011. The Assisted Living Workgroup conducted meetings to comprehensively examine the regulation and oversight of assisted living in Florida. The workgroup members for phase one were:
